Concealer and foundation brushes must be washed at least once a week, while brushes used around your eyes should be cleaned at least twice a month and the rest can be washed once a month. You can use a variety of products to keep your makeup brushes clean, including baby shampoo, Ivory soap, Dawn dish soap, makeup brush cleansers, and textured cleansing mats.
To clean your brush, first rinse the bristles under water. Then, gently massage in soap, making sure you saturate the entire brush. Finally, rinse the brush until the water runs clean.
